Keema Pilau (Mince Pilaf)

Ingredients

  1. Oil 1/2 cup
  2. Onions 2 medium
  3. Ginger & garlic paste 2 tsp
  4. Tomatoes 1 large
  5. Mince 1/2 kg
  6. Salt 2 tsp
  7. Red chillies 1/2 tsp
  8. All spices powder 1 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  10. Green chillies 4-5
  11. Black pepper corns 7-8
  12. Cloves 5-6
  13. Cinnamon stick 1 piece
  14. Rice 3 cup

Recipe

  1. Heat oil in a pot.
  2. Add onions and golden fry it then add ginger & garlic paste, tomatoes and water 3 tbsp and mix well.
  3. Add mince, salt, red chillies, all spices powder, cumin seeds, green chillies, black pepper corns, cloves, cinnamon stick mix well for 5 minutes then add water 1/2 cup and cover the pot with a lid till the mince is totally cooked (It'll almost take 7-9 minutes).
  4. Add rice then add water. (The water should not be more or less than 1 & 1/2 inch over the rice)
  5. When a boil comes cover and cook till all the water dries.
  6. When the water dries cover the lid with a tea towel and simmer for first 5 minutes high flame and then 10 minutes on low flame.
  7. Serve hot.
